Welcome to the
Amanda Geissler memorial foundation Inc.
The Amanda Geissler Memorial Foundation Inc. is a non-profit foundation with a mission to provide educational opportunities for women and children.
Amanda's passion for women, children, and education started with a mission trip to Ghana, Africa where she volunteered in a kindergarten classroom. This single experience started it all for her. Amanda's passion continued to grow as she volunteered locally by mentoring young girls in Milwaukee and Minneapolis and internationally volunteered with teaching English to women and children in Peru. She saw firsthand the need for educational resources and the possibilities that greater access to education could have for women and children.

Jamie Kuenzi - President
Jamie and Amanda became close friends while working at Eli Lilly and Company in 2009. In fact, Amanda spent a long weekend “babysitting” Jamie’s children while they were out of town. Friendship turned into family and Amanda lovingly became “Auntie Amanda” and was the little sister Jamie never had. They often met daily at Colectivo to discuss relationships, work, local happenings and dreams. It was at one morning coffee that Amanda received the email that welcomed her to the Lilly Hearts Abroad program. She went to Ghana, Africa and this is where she developed a desire to explore the vast world around her. Jamie hopes to support Amanda’s family in carrying out #25 on her bucket list and is honored to serve as President of the Amanda Geissler Memorial Foundation. |
Jodie Gobler - Vice President Jodie grew up in Amery, Wisconsin and Amanda's cousin. Jodie attended St. Cloud State and the University of Memphis and earned a Master's Degree in Communications. Jodie currently lives in Northern Michigan and works for CPG company as a Senior Division Manager. In adulthood Amanda first and foremost became a great friend of Jodie's as well as a co-worker for a brief time. Amanda continues to inspire Jodie to "be kinder to myself" and to continue to read and challenge my thoughts and the thoughts of others. Jodie looks forward to sharing Amanda's love and light with others! |
Tom Seaholm - Treasurer
Growing up in Chippewa Falls, Tom and his brother were raised by their parents and grew a love of sports. Playing baseball, football and basketball was a good part of Tom's life, where he learned many of the skills that have taken with him into the business world. Graduating from UW-La Crosse with a Finance degree, he began his career working in financial services and transitioned that into a commercial banking career for the past 8 years. Tom is currently the Vice President of Business Banking for WNB Financial in the Eau Claire area, and am leading our growth by being the trusted financial advisor and premier regional partner for small businesses locally. Tom has been married to his awesome wife Janel for the past 15 years, a phy ed teacher at a local elementary school, and they have three wonderful children: Addy 11, Brady 9, and Rylee 6. Their family dog Arlo rounds out the daily chaos, but they wouldn’t have it any other way. When not at work, they can usually be found at a local field or gym watching and/or coaching the kids’ teams. If it’s not a sporting event, they enjoy camping with many family and friends, playing golf and traveling as much as they can. Tom is proud and honored to be a part of Amanda’s Foundation. As neighbors to Amanda’s parents, Jeff and Cheryl, the Seaholm family has gotten to know the family very well and enjoyed sharing so many great memories and unfortunately some of the worst ones. The Geissler family’s love of each other has come through during this tough time and is being carried on through this wonderful foundation. Amanda’s desire to help others will continue to be this group’s driving passion and Tom can’t wait to see the wonderful things we’re able to do in her honor. |
Lindsey Carlyle - Secretary Lindsey is Amanda's little sister who looked up to her sister in all aspects of life. Lindsey lives in California with her husband (Derek) and daughter (Ayla) and is a high school science teacher. Lindsey, like Amanda, graduated from UW-Stout where they both played basketball and earned their undergraduate degrees. Amanda's sense of adventure, mental toughness, and acceptance of others are just a few of a long list of things Lindsey always admired in her sister. Lindsey is honored be checking #25 off her sister's bucket list, and will continue to spread Amanda's light with as many people as she can through the work of the Amanda Geissler Memorial Foundation. |

Amanda inspired everyone to dream a little bigger, be a little kinder and to show up for life every day. Cheryl thanked God every day that she was the lucky one chosen to be Amanda's Mom. To honor Amanda, Cheryl will try to spread kindness and light every day! |
